【摘要】:Controlovertheresiduecontent(requiredbySpecificationD1835)isofconsiderableimportanceinend-useapplicationsofLPG.Inliquidfeedsystemsresiduescanleadtotroublesomedepositsand,invaporwithdrawalsystems,residuesthatarecarriedovercanfoulregulatingequipment.Thosethatremainwillaccumulate,canbecorrosive,andwillcontaminatefollowingproduct.Water,particularlyifalkaline,cancausefailureofregulatingequipmentandcorrosionofmetals.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofextraneousmaterialsweatheringabove38Cthatarepresentinliquefiedpetroleumgases.TheextraneousmaterialswillgenerallybedissolvedintheLPG,butmayhavephase-separatedinsomeinstances.1.2Liquefiedpetroleumgasesthatcontaincertainanti-icingadditivescangiveerroneousresultsbythistestmethod.1.3Althoughthistestmethodhasbeenusedtoverifycleanlinessandlackofheavycontaminantsinpropaneformanyyears,itmightnotbesensitiveenoughtoprotectsomeequipmentfromoperationalproblemsorincreasedmaintenance.Amoresensitivetest,abletodetectlowerlevelsofdissolvedcontaminants,couldberequiredforsomeapplications.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtoassessthepurityof2-mercaptobenzothiazolesulfenamideaccelerators.Theseproductsareusedincombinationwithsulfurforthevulcanizationofrubber.Thetestmethodissuitableforassessingproductspecificationsinthatthepropertyitmeasuresisrelatedtoproductperformance.Sinceitistheprimarypropertyforcomparisonofproductqualityatdifferentproductionfacilities,goodinterlaboratoryaccuracyandprecisionisrequired.Basedonpastexperience,twosignificantsourcesoferrorinthistestmethodare:(1)incompletereductionand(2)titrationendpointassessment.Problemsintheseareascanbeavoidedbycloselyfollowingtheprocedure.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofassayonmercaptobenzothiazole(MBT)sulfenamides.Itisbasedonatitrationofthebasicaminesliberateduponreductionofthesulfenamideswithhydrogensulfidegas(H2S),or2-mercaptobenzothiazole.1.2Anyfreeamine(HNR2)orweakacidsaltsofthecorrespondingamine(HXHNR2)aretitratedpriortoreduction.Thistiterisusedtocalculatepercentbasicimpurity(asfreeamine)inthesample.1.3Withtheindicatedmodifications,thistestmethodisapplicabletoallMBTsulfenamides,thatis,N-cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolesulfenamide(CBS),N,N-diisopropyl-2-benzothiazylsulfenamide(DIBS),2(morpholinothio)benzothiazole(MBS),N,N-dicylohexyl-2-benzothiazylsulfenamide(DCBS),N-tert-butyl-benzothiazole-sulfenamide(TBBS),and4-morpholinyl-2-benzothiazyldisulfide(MBSS).1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection.
