【摘要】:Thedeterminationofdimensionalchangeofpileyarnfloorcoveringisusefulinqualityandcostcontrolduringmanufactureofpileyarnfloorcovering.Theappearanceandperformancemaybeaffectedbythechangesinthedimensionsofpileyarnfloorcovering.Thistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentbecausecurrentestimatesofbetweenlaboratoryprecisionareacceptable,andthismethodiscommonlyusedinthetradeforacceptancetesting.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthemusingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimumusethesamplesforsuchcomparativeteststhatareashomogenousaspossible,drawnfromthesamelotofmaterialasthesamplesthatresultedindisparateresultsduringinitialtestingandrandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratory.Thetestresultsfromthelaboratoriesinvolvedshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,aprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfoundeitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatmaterialmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofdimensionalchangesinthelengthwiseandwidthwisedirectionanddistortionlikelytooccurwhenpilefloorcoveringsareexposedtovariousconditionsofmoistureandheat.Thismethodisapplicabletoallpilefloorcoveringsincludingcarpetmoduleform.1.2Thismethodisapplicabletomachinemadepileyarnfloorcovering.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversiontoSIunitsthatareprovededforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
